Ladies and Gentleman please use the community page for posting and viewing pictures. At one time FB said they were going to do away with the group pages. That is why a Community page was created. Not to mention it is easier to catalog pictures into sets. Here is the link to that page.


In addition full size pictures suitable for printing is also on a flickr page. Remember to use high resolution images for printing and low resolution for web use. You can also order prints directly from flickr if you wish. Otherwise download the size you want and take to your favorite photo printing store. Here is the link to the flickr page.

Only registered MAEA/NAEA members and staff are allowed to attend conference activities. Children and infants are not permitted. By registering for the MAEA Conference, I authorize MAEA the right to photograph me and to use the photographs in all formats and media for any purpose, including for education, marketing and trade purposes. I hereby release MAEA from all claims arising out of the use of the photographs, including without limitation all claims for compensation, libel, invasion of privacy or violation of copyright ownership.

Making Hotel Reservations

Reservations can be made by individuals calling the Hotel direct at (573)-635-1234 or toll free at 1-(800)-338-8088.  Individuals must identify themselves as being with the “MO Art Education Association” at the time the reservation is made in order to receive the group rate.

On right hand side of website under the “Quick Reservations” blue box, select your check-in and check-out dates and click Book Now.

This will allow you to the Reservation Page, on the top headers click Group Code Tab and then enter your group code: 140312MIS and click update to show the discount rates.  Continue to make reservation.

There are many additional hotels in the Jefferson City area, however, MAEA must commit to a block of rooms in order to receive workshop space at reduced rate or no cost. Staying at the conference hotel helps to keep our conference registration fees low. Hotel reservations must be made separately from conference registration. Reservations must be made on or before February 1, 2014, in order to receive the discounted MAEA rate. When making your reservation with Captiol Plaza Hotel (1.800.338.8088), be sure to identify yourself as a member of the Missouri Art Education Association in order to receive the group rate of $109/single, $119/double, breakfast included.

Additional Information 

What to bring: Bring your blue MAEA name pouch if your received one at a previous conference. Name pouches will be available for $5.00 each.

Personal Art Kit: (suggested) Sketchbook, scissors, glue, watercolors, pencils, erasers, markers, brushes or other materials for your personal use. Most workshops provide materials, however, extra materials may be listed on ArtBytes for specific workshops.

Silent Auction: The silent auction is held throughout the conference. The proceeds from the auction help fund the Arrowmont scholarship prize for the Member Exhibit. What to bring??? Donate your trash and treasures, student or teacher examples, boxes of yarn, this and that, just bring it!  You might find MORE TREASURES to take home!

Student Art Exhibit:  A great way to get ideas and showcase your students' work. This is a 4 x 6 postcard size art show for student work. For specific rules and entry form, click here:  Student Art Exhibit Information.

Meals: Conference registration also includes a reception on Thursday evening and lunch on Friday and Saturday.
