here for Nomination instructions in PDF Form *Detailed information about each award* Key criteria for the award include commitment, MAEA activities involvement, including honors and service, leadership roles and accomplishments, professional organizational memberships including offices held and honors, publications and/or exhibits, and outstanding teaching related contributions and services. Completed Nomination packets will be reviewed by a selection committee, which will select the award recipient based on the nomination form, the nominee's response to the standardized vita, and the required letters of support. The winners will be recognized at the MAEA Spring Conference. Follow the 9 Steps to MAEA Art Educator of the Year Awards. Copy the Nomination Form and use it to nominate your candidate. (The form must be typed or use the online form). Include a typed cover letter supporting your nomination. *An award winner in a division cannot be nominated for the award in that same division within ten years of winning the previous award. Nominations must be postmarked by November 1, and mailed to the present Awards Program Chairman. Mail to: Mary Helen Stuber, Awards Program Chairman, 4208 Miller Road, St. Joseph, Missouri 64505.
